We are proud to present the JobsOhio 2017 Annual Report and 2018 Strategic Plan. 

This report provides an overview of how JobsOhio executes its mission to drive job creation, new capital investment, and economic growth in Ohio through business attraction, retention, and expansion efforts.

In collaboration with our state, regional and local partners, JobsOhio celebrates a successful year. In 2017, there were:

  • 272 projects announced
  • 22,788 new job commitments
  • 67,849 existing jobs retained
  • $1.1 billion in new payroll
  • $9.6 billion in new capital investments

The 2017 capital investment commitments are a new high for JobsOhio. Additionally, job numbers are 11 percent higher than those in 2016.

In 2018, JobsOhio will remain focused on accelerating job growth and increasing capital investment across businesses of all sizes. We will also continue to advance our client-focused programs in areas where we see potential for additional growth by investing in innovation, sites, and talent.

A Team Effort: Bringing Intel to Ohio

Intel’s announcement to partner with Ohio to expand its chip manufacturing operations in Ohio’s Licking County is a tremendous victory for the United States. Semiconductors are a brand-new vital industry to our state and will supercharge Ohio’s economy.

Community Partners Outline Plans for Uptown Cincinnati’s Five Core Neighborhoods

Uptown Consortium Inc.’s (UCI) community partners are gearing up for a year of collaboration, relationship-building and community engagement. Projects in Uptown’s five core neighborhoods: Avondale, Clifton, Corryville, University Heights (CUF) and Mt. Auburn are in various stages of development—but all with the goal of maintaining Uptown’s status as one of Cincinnati’s most vibrant and eclectic areas.
